Kendall Jenner: People 'Laughed at Me Behind My Back'

Taking sexy selfies comes naturally to the Kardashians. (Obviously.) But the Kardashians' little sister Kendall Jenner reports that being a big-time model who's taken seriously in the fashion world does not.

The 19-year-old reveals in a new interview with V Magazine that her reality star status didn't make her chosen career a breeze or anything. Her Keeping Up With the Kardashians fame did help her in the sense the she was already a social media star — a quality that's practically a requirement for popular models nowadays.

However, it also hindered her somewhat. It wasn't that long ago that Jenner's big sis Kim Kardashian was reportedly banned from fashion's biggest night at the Met Gala, and people were shocked when the future Mrs. Kanye West (and her then-husband-to-be) landed the cover of Vogue.

"You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back," Jenner says. "It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager. "

She continued, "I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld, and Katie Grand, who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity. My parents taught me that work ethic is one of the most important keys in life, and I believe it."

Now, Jenner is quite comfortable on the catwalk. After overcoming bad behavior from some other models (she was being bullied), Kendall has rocked runways for Chanel, Givenchy, Diane von Furstenberg, and more upscale designers. She's also the new face of Calvin Klein jeans and will soon star in a prominent ad in a famous location in L.A.

"This will be my first billboard on Sunset, which I'm ecstatic about," she explains. "It's really humbling, and honestly, I am a pretty shy person, but being part of the Calvin campaign and seeing myself up there will be a dream come true. I might have to eat every night at the Chateau Marmont with that hanging over my shoulder. 'Oh yeah, that little thing? I didn't notice!'"

Somehow, she found a way to overcome those #kardashianproblems.

If you're going to come after Kim Kardashian on her home turf (Instagram), you better not miss.

But it looks like Brody Jenner had some second thoughts about the above post, and deleted it a couple minutes after posting it. Not quickly enough, however, that it wasn't screenshot all over the internet.

Jenner uploaded the picture of himself, girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, brother Brandon, and mother Linda Thompson at a friend's wedding. The caption reads, "Look... @kaitlynn_carter and I finally get to go to a wedding together!!!" It's a clear reference to Jenner's not getting a +1 to Kardashian's Italian nuptials with Kanye West last year.

First of all, we're going to go ahead and call B.S. on the fact that the 31-year-old former star of The Hills has only been invited to two weddings in the past 11 months. We know he attended the nuptials of Kim's ex, Reggie Bush, in July, for starters.

On the current season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, they made a point of showing that neither Kim nor Brody had any hard feelings about his not attending her wedding. In one scene, Kim and Bruce Jenner are seen agreeing that it's best not to give Brody a +1 for his girlfriend. In another, Brody says, "I'm very happy for them, but do you think that they were really like, 'We have to have Brody and Kaitlynn there? If they're not there then this wedding is not going to happen.'"

Given that, it's pretty harmless teasing, but if you're going to try to shade the Queen, you'd better have the balls to stick to your guns.

Gisele Bündchen Slips a Nip in ‘Vogue Brazil’

It’s been only a couple weeks since Gisele Bündchen walked her last runway, and it was clearly not a goodbye, but a “see you soon.” The 34-year-old Brazilian bombshell’s taken toInstagram to share her upcoming Vogue Brazil cover. It’s no doubt that Bündchen’s appeared on countless fashion magazine covers, but this one is particularly significant: it marks the glossy’s 40th edition as well as her illustrious 20-year career.

According to a Brazilian publication, the supermodel’s editorial was inspired by the four elements—air, water, fire and earth. “I did not want to do something just fashion. I wanted to show something else, something that was part of my essence,” Bündchen explained.

Captured by famed photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the black and white cover features Bündchen standing in her birthday suit (befitting the mag’s celebration of its 40th year) on a pedestal. And all eyes are on the mega-model. There are no headlines to distract from her flawlessly fit body, but just a “G” and a “20″—both in gold—dangling like charms over her leg…an artful (literally) nod to the fact that Bündchen’s rank is on par with world leaders. Her pose even bares an uncanny resemblance to Michelangelo’s legendary statue of David—which is the universal symbol of strength and youthful beauty—indeed proving that like the statue, Gisele is a work of art.

Bündchen also shared one of the editorial images—definitely inspired by “water”—in which she’s showing off her extreme flexibility as she’s kicked up into an air-split wearing semi-sheer red bell bottoms. It appears she’s used so much force (there’s even an illusion that Bündchen cracked the page), that she’s suffered a nip slip—and a voguish one at that. (Literally!) On the heels of her recent retirement, she captioned the photo with ever the appropriate saying: “When you can’t change the direction of the wind - adjust your sails.”

Katie Couric Was the Belle of the Ball at 2015 White House Correspondents' Dinner—See Cute Instagram Photos!

Katie Couric turned heads in a romantic, gray and yellow floral gown at the 2015 White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday and showed her playful side in some behind-the-scenes photos.

The Yahoo! News Global News Anchor and belle of the ball posed for pics with the likes of supermodel Karlie Kloss, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, modelChrissy Teigen and actressJenna Dewan-Tatum. Couric and the latter two looked like they were having a blast, touching each other's legs and laughing.

"This is appropriate for the #WHCD right??" Dewan-Tatum joked on Instagram. "#chrissyteigen #katiecouric."

Other celebrities spotted at the 2015 White House Correspondents' Dinner include Ashley Judd, who also rocked a floral look, Pretty Little Liars' star Troian Bellisario and Jane Fonda.

"Thank you @KatieCouric for having me as your date tonight to the #WHCD (apparently also called the #NerdProm!)" Kloss wrote on Instagram. "I had a wonderful time, met many fascinating people, and enjoyed president @barackobama's stand up comedy!"

Couric was accompanied by her real date, husband John Molner. The two will celebrate their first wedding anniversary this June.

So the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner was Saturday. And yes, no one is quite sure exactly what it is. It's a dinner with the president and a bunch of rich, maybe powerful people.

Among those popular, powerful people in attendance were Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and New England Patriots, and the hilarious part — not pictured here — is that they were sitting at the same table apparently. No truth to the rumor they were led to their seats by the White House Butler. #seewhatididthere

But what is pictured here, in the Instagram account of Belichick's girlfriend Linda Holliday, is something far more amazing, more wondrous than we ever could have hoped for. Yes, the Obama translator skit was funny. But this photo is truly the best thing to come out of the evening.

Where to start?

Let's go left to right, where Wilson has borrowed James Worthy's goggles, or perhaps had just come from powerwashing his deck. And, LOL, he thought people couldn't see which direction his eyes might be wandering. Yes, Wilson is rumored to be dating a famous person (not in attendance of said dinner, but still reportedly famous) named Ciara, but right at this moment he's ogling the very fine Chrissy Teigen.

So is Wisconsin's Frank "The Tank" Kaminsky, fresh off losing to Duke in the NCAA finals. He's a college kid; he gets a pass.

And so is Belichick, who most certainly does not. Holliday might not mind, but this might open up a new investigation into Spygate with the way Belichick is checking out her, ahem, formation.

That's what we call offsetting illegal procedure penalties.

Nepal quake death toll climbs to 1,910

Strong earthquake and aftershocks shake Nepal

KATHMANDU, Nepal (AP) — A Nepal police official says at least 1,910 people have been killed, including at least 721 in Kathmandu, in the immense weekend earthquake centered outside of the capital of the Himalayan nation.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Komal Singh Bam says the death toll is expected to climb.

Dan Fredinburg Dead: Sophia Bush's Ex Dies After Nepal Earthquake Triggers Mt. Everest Avalanche

Dan Fredinburg has died at age 33. The Google exec, who previously dated Chicago P.D. actressSophia Bush, was killed after a Nepal earthquake trigered a Mt. Everest avalanche on Saturday, April 25. Fredinburg's sister confirmed the news on his official Instagram account.

Fredinburg was the head of privacy for GoogleX and a Google adventurer, often posting photos from his travels. On Saturday, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake caused the devastating avalanche, with a death toll that has reportedly now passed 1,000.

On hearing the news, Bush also posted her condolences via Instagram. broke news in August 2014 that the pair split after 10 months of dating. That April, Bush revealed that Fredinburg was okay following yet another scary Mt. Everest avalanche.

"There are no adequate words. Today I find myself attempting to pick up the pieces of my heart that have broken into such tiny shards, I'll likely never find them all. Today I, and so many of my loved ones, lost an incredible friend. Dan Fredinburg was one-of-a-kind. Fearless. Funny. A dancing robot who liked to ride dinosaurs and chase the sun and envision a better future for the world," Bush, 32, wrote Saturday.

"He was one of my favorite human beings on Earth. He was one of the great loves of my life. He was one of my truest friends. He was an incredible brother, a brilliant engineer, and a damn good man," she continued. "I'm devastated and simultaneously so deeply grateful to have known and loved him, and to have counted him as one of my tribe."

The exes were so close post-split, that they were going to reunite following his journey. "Please remember that our time on this Earth is not guaranteed. Please tell those you love that you do. Right now. This very minute. And please send a kiss to the sky for my friend Dan," theOne Tree Hill alum continued. "His energy is so big and so bright, and it's all around us, so put some love toward him today. And then hug your loved ones again.

Box Office: 'Age of Adaline' knocks 'Furious 7' from no. 1 Friday

In something of a surprise, "The Age of Adaline" made history on Friday. Lionsgate's romantic fantasy pulled in $4.9 million on its opening day to take the no. 1 slot at the box office. That means "Furious 7's" three week reign of ruling the nation's theaters has come to an end. Well, to an end for at least one day.

"Age of Adaline" is looking to take in $13-14 million over the weekend. That will be an OK start for a drama with a reported $25 million budget. The film's long term prospects may be buoyed, however, by the fact it earned an A- Cinemascore from moviegoers. Critical notices? Those won't help.

"Furious 7," which dropped to no. 2 with $4.8 million and $307 million so far, is expected to regain the top spot by Sunday and win the weekend. The Universal Pictures blockbuster has now earned $1.22 billion worldwide which places it at no. 6 all-time among global releases behind "Frozen's" $1.27 billion and ahead of "Iron Man 3's" $1.21 billion. The next chapter in the franchise, "Furious 8," was just announced for April 14, 2017.

"Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" came in at no. 3 with another $3.7 million and $32.1 million overall in just 8 days.

"Unfriended" dropped to no. 4 with another $2 million and $20.9 million since opening last Friday

DreamWorks Animation's "Home" snuck into fifth with $1.8 million and $147.3 million domestic to date. The worldwide tally for the family flick now stands at $274.6 million.

Naysayers should ditch the negativity for the time being. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have managed to defy rumors they were spending time apart by — wait for it — spending time together.

The paparazzi snapped photos of the husband-and-wife duo landing in Australia and holding hands — not Depp's injured hand, obviously — and unless one of them is actually a hologram (which we don't think is the case) or one of them has hot glued their hands together (again, probably not the case), it's pretty clear what's going on: some good, old-fashioned coupliness. In other words, they're fine.

The two hadn't been photographed since they tied the knot back in February in a romantic beach ceremony, so naturally, folks started wondering if they were suffering from marital woes; reports surfaced claiming they were leading "separate lives." Using simple Hollywood logic, it's easy to see why those bubbled up — both actors were busywhile also dodging the paparazzi's cameras.

And if sheer hand-holding and somewhat-matching denim ensembles don't sell you quite enough, then check out the smile on Amber's face. Sorry, ladies who were hoping Johnny was single again — they are totally on and livin' in holy hot matrimony.
