Ryan Sweeting and Kaley Cuoco out for a post-engagement stroll
Kaley Cuoco is ready to live happily ever after, but when Ryan Sweeting proposed to the actress last week, it wasn't straight out of a fairy tale.
"[Ryan] actually started a little fight with me and threw me off. I was like, 'Oh my God, things aren't great.' He surprised me at the end of the night … [when] he popped the ring out. It was amazing." Cuoco tells "Entertainment Tonight."
Although they have only been dating for about three months, Cuoco, 27, also shed more light on how she knows that Sweeting, 27, is the one.
"From day one I just knew immediately and it's been magic. We have all the same family friends. We grew up with the same people, we just never met," the "Big Bang Theory" actress reveals.
Cuoco, born and raised in California, and Sweeting, a Bahamas native, have one major thing in common: tennis. Before deciding to pursue acting, Cuoco was a nationally ranked amateur tennis player. She took up the sport when she was 3 years old and stopped playing in 2002 at the age of 16. Ryan turned pro in 2007.
"I kind of feel that I've known him my whole life," Cuoco gushes. "I know that it seems a little crazy on paper, but it's what works for us."
Ryan popped the question to Kaley last Wednesday, just three days after they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Emmys.
