Don’t worry—Swift didn’t pull a Miley Cyrus. Nowhere near! She did, however, manage to wow the audience via satellite (she was performing in Sydney, Australia as part of her worldwide Red tour) with an unexpectedly spicy move. Halfway through her rendition of “I Knew You Were Trouble,” Swift abruptly tore off her modest, lacy white-and-cream Victorian-style gown (with some help from her male backup dancers) revealing a sexy black romper underneath.
This isn’t the first time Swift has done the good girl/bad girl thing. The singer has a fairly extensive history of juxtaposing angelically sweet costumes with racier gear, but this is the only time we recall that she's actually ripped a garment off her body in front of the crowd.
Aside from her sultry turn on stage, Swift was steaming hot in terms of nominations for the 56th annual Grammy Awards, notching nods for both Album and Country Album of the year, as well asCountry Song ("Begin Again"), and Country Duo or Performance for her collaboration with Keith Urban and Tim McGraw on McGraw's "Highway Don't Care."
The night’s other highly anticipated female performer, Katy Perry, fell a bit a flat with a somewhat dull performance of her hit “Roar.” More exciting than the delivery of the tune was the fact that it was nominated for Song of the Year.
The 56th annual Grammy Awards will be held January 26.
