Start taking your Union Jack memorabilia from 2011 out of your closets - another Royal Wedding might be happening sooner than you think. As we predicted, Prince Harry and girlfriend Cressida Bonas are this close to getting engaged.
A source close to the royal family revealed that wedding bells are in the works for the prince and his socialite lady, reports E! News. "Harry and Cressida have made a point of talking about marriage and what changes they're going to have to make to their life as of late," the source tells E!. "According to friends of Cressida's, the couple has decided to try and keep their semi-normal lifestyle as long as physically possible."
The only thing holding up what would be one of the most-talked about proposals of all time (Seriously, we can't wait for another royal to wed... cough, Pippa, cough!) is the loss of privacy the pair will likely experience if they get engaged.
"They are fully aware once they decide to proceed to marriage things will get a little crazy and the attention on them will increase," the source adds. "So, it's very much a, 'Let's enjoy this while it lasts' before they move forward."
With the spotlight zooming in on Cressida, the Duchess of Cambridge has offered a helping hand to her (possible) future sister-in-law. "Kate's been brilliant with Cressida and has been giving her advice. She likes her very much and has offered her tips on how to keep her normality," a source says. "Kate's been there and done it and, while she knows Cressida won't be as talked about and followed like she was, she needs to get a real slant on what happens."
Though Cressida may have some hesitations, she's reportedly held an initial discussion with the palace regarding post-proposal crowd control. As for Harry? Rumor has it he's plotting his proposal. "Harry has told his crowd that he knows he will wed Cressida, but he wants to ensure their life doesn't become a circus," the same source adds. "He's not half as important as William with regards to the throne and wants his privacy to reflect that."
We're crossing our fingers in hopes that this news is true. We can't handle having our dreams crushed like when Pippa's engagement was deemed a mere rumor. Did you hear that Harry?!
