That's one way to get your point across! Television personalityCourtney Stoddenchose to make her voice heard on Wednesday, July 16, by stripping down to an unconventional string bikini.
Stodden, 19, hit the red carpet outside of the congressional Rayburn House Office Building Courtyard in Washington, D.C., wearing a revealing green bikini made out of lettuce leaves.
The estranged wife of actor Doug Hutchison, 54, made a statement with her skimpy style, attaching an oversized button reading "GO VEG!" to her bikini top to promote a vegetarian lifestyle. She was in the Capitol for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' Annual Congressional Veggie Dog Giveaway.
"Going vegetarian made me feel great inside and out," she said in a statement from PETA. "And I’m eager to help PETA inspire people on Capitol Hill to give vegetarian food a try."
"Veggie dogs are delicious and kinder to animals, the environment, and our health than artery-clogging, meaty hot dogs are," Stodden continued in the statement. "The choice is easy to make!"
Choosing very little fabric for her body, Stodden opted for a pair of towering lucite wedge heels. She wore her platinum blonde hair blown out and down, and picked a dramatic smokey eye and a light pink lip.
The salad-inspired suit was worn once before by the blonde star. She walked down Hollywood Boulevard in July 2013 in the get-up, filming a PSA for PETA about going vegetarian.
