The top-down fragmentation of the Kardashian-Jenner dynasty will play out on E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” during the upcoming season.
Sources close to the production have told that the hit show is still in production and the cameras are rolling as the couple deals with the separation.
“The show will continue to address all aspects of the family’s lives and it’s obvious to anyone who has been watching throughout the series that Kris and Bruce have always been open about their relationship,” one insider told TheWrap.
On Tuesday, the Jenners confirming their separation. In it, they said “We are living separately and we are much happier this way.”
Their confirmation arrived after several reports of the separation from individuals inside the family circle made the rounds over the past week.
These reports included an interview with Brody Jenner, Bruce’s son and new “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” cast member, in which he confirmed the couple are living separately but denied that it meant there was strife between the couple.
“I stay out of their business, but as far as I’m concerned, they haven’t split up,” Brody said. “Dad’s been in Malibu — he grew up out here — and the press has made a big deal of it. It’s nothing to do with them breaking up.”
The reports were exacerbated last week when Kris’s sister, Karen Houghton, said that the pair are “separated” and that Bruce has “sought out a lawyer” in an interview with InTouch.
Last Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” attracted 2.3 million viewers and ranked No. 1 in cable in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic for its time slot. Produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, the show was previously renewed through Season 9.
