Taylor Swift recently took time out of her busy schedule to meet with some of her young fans at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
The singer was supposed to spend only an hour visiting the pediatric cancer floor but wound up staying for over four hours. Taylor made the day brighter for 17-year-old Shelby Huff, who has severe aplastic anemia and is enrolled in a clinical trial at the hospital.
"The Insider With Yahoo" spoke with Shelby about her experience, and she told us, "Taylor was really down to earth and she was amazing. She really cared about what was going on. It was just really cool that I got to meet her." Shelby's mom, Jennyfer, was also surprised that such a superstar didn't even have an entourage along with her for the visit.
"No paparazzi were with her at all, just one guy that was with her holding her guitar, and other people were from the hospital. She is beautiful in person, and she is just even more beautiful on the inside."
We are so happy that all those kids got to meet Taylor and have a truly special day that they will never forget.
