Can’t blame ‘em though! Rosie Huntington-Whiteleytold Net-a-Porter’s The EDIT it’s impossible to do “normal stuff” because people are so obsessed with her boyfriend Jason Statham.
“People go crazy for Jason. It can become a frenzy walking down the street with him,” the supermodel told the magazine. “People relate to him and feel like he’s the guy they grew up with, so it’s tricky.”
Even daily habits, like going to the store, are nearly impossible for the power couple. “You can’t always do the right thing…People will say, ‘What do you mean you don’t do your own grocery shopping?’ But I go to the supermarket and there are 20 photographers watching it. Doing normal stuff just isn’t the same.”
The Mad Max: Fury Road star, who has been dating Statham for five years and recently bought a Beverly Hills pad with him, plans on having children, but it’s not something she’s rushing.
“Having a family is something I think about for sure, and whether I’d live here in America or in England,” the 28-year-old explained. “But it’s not always as simple as that. I have no idea what will happen, but it’ll be interesting to find out, right? And nothing will be perfect, I’m sure.”
Statham aside, the globally successful model also admitted that growing up she was criticized as being too “wholesome.”
“I’ve always been considered more of a commercial model,” Huntington-Whiteley said. “I started modeling when I was 16, which is just mental, and when I used to go to castings for the shows they would see me and say, ‘She looks too wholesome. She’s too healthy!’ And that’s bad because? So I would think, ‘Well, thanks. I’ll take that as a compliment.’ I like that word, wholesome, so it’s hard for me to think of it as negative.”
