Christina Aguilera has shown her support for Miley Cyrus and her raunchy tour antics, saluting the star from "one dirrty girl to the next" as she enjoyed Miley's Los Angeles gig last night.
Xtina was just one of many stars in the audience at the Staples Center gig on Saturday night, with the newly engaged singer soon tweeting her love for Miley as she danced to the hits.
Sharing a photo of Miley on stage in some personalised chaps that wouldn't have looked out of place in Christina's Dirrty video, the singer saluted the star with her message: "Cheers from one dirrty girl to the next @MileyCyrus...wear em' loud and proud, girl- yes!!"
It appears Christina is keen to pass the baton onto the 21-year-old, amid rumours she's expecting her second child with new fiance Matthew Rutler.
Christina's message of support, not to mention the huge celeb turnout for last night's gig (Harry Styles, Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian and Katy Perry were also in the audience) is sure to be a welcome boost to Miley who has been battling yet more criticism this week.
The 21-year-old kicked off her world tour on Valentine's Day but the show has attracted "floods" of complaints from parents, with some even reportedly calling for the tour from the former Hannah Montana good girl to be shut down.
Crotch grabbing is the new twerking
Cyrus's management has reportedly been inundated with complaint calls from parents saying the 'We Can't Stop' star has gone too far during her two-hour-long concert, which includes dirty dancing, crotch grabbing and simulated sex with her dancers.
According to TheFIX the tour could be in trouble: "Her team, including management, record label execs and the entire tour staff including the director, costume department and choreographers — have been called for an emergency meeting as arenas across the U.S. threaten to pull out of the show," a source has alleged to the website.
Miley shows off her new ride whilst on tour
Amid the furore Miley has come out fighting, tweeting a message for her 17 million Twitter followers on Thursday afternoon. Posting a photo of herself on stage, Miley is seen strutting away from the camera in one of her typically skimpy costumes, while her "parental advisory" sign is displayed in the background.
The star hit out at the drama, as she captioned the photo: "You can't say I didn't warn you. Now sit back relax & enjoy the show. #bangerztour" before adding: "Save your complaints for the McDonalds drive thru when they forget the "fries with that" 🍟❤️👅💋".
