Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to get the bottom of the "Are they or aren't they?" rumors.
Eva Mendes joined the 2014 Oscars host on her talk show Tuesday (for a segment set to air Wednesday) and played coy about the status of her relationship with boyfriend Ryan Gosling.
After Ellen asked her what plans she had for Valentine's Day, Eva responded, "I'm not a big Valentine's Day person," Eva said. "I'll probably just order a deep dish and watch 'The Notebook' or something. … Just cry, weep."
Obviously, this was a bit of a tongue-in-cheek comment, as Gosling is the male lead in the hit 2004 movie based on the weepy Nicholas Sparks novel.
Rumors have swirled since last fall that the beautiful couple are no longer an item. Mostly baseless, such reports have been fueled by the fact that they haven't been photographed together in a while. However, Eva's rep told E! News recently that the breakup rumors were exactly that. The couple have been romantically linked for just over two years.
Ellen then also asked Eva to address the rumors that she's pregnant.
"It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport," Eva explained. "They're really creepy, because they see you naked. And there's also a radiation aspect to it. So I always opt out and ask for a personal patdown."
"Good idea," Ellen joked.
"Do you wanna say … so, is it a boy or a girl?" Ellen joked.
